I'd make the liquid in the syringe an odd color though.
Awesome piece.
I know exactly what you mean about the syringe colour... i couldn't decide whether to use a translucent green or purple for the poison, or go for an opaque white (which I did). And with the original idea of the photo (to have the apple and syringe up close in focus, with the image of me in the background) I think it may have worked better.
